After the capture of vital technical schematics of the DeathStar, leading to the destruction of Alderaan, Alliance tacticians have managed to pinpoint a crucial flaw in the superweapon's massive design. A small ray-shielded thermal exhaust port was found to lead from the DeathStar's massive surface directly to the heart of its reactor.
